Locher, Zora D., 85, of East Conemaugh, died on May 24, 2011 at Laurelwood Care Center. She was born June 5, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of Lazo and Damjena (Buchan) Gjurich.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband G. Thomas Locher Sr., daughter, Mary Ellen Locher Burd, sister, Dorothy Gvozdich, Helen Saula, Lubicia, Mila, and Marion; brothers, Milan, Peter, and Dusan; sisters-in-law, Betty Gjurich and Lee Gjurich and brothers-in-law, Lazo Vuckovich and Milan Gvozdich. Survived by loving children, Thomas (Janie), Johnstown, Linda (David) Leckrone, Nashville, TN, Judy, Columbus, OH and Richard (Sarah), Wayne, PA; grandchildren, Haley (Dennis) Butler, Garnet Valley, PA, Christian T. (Dessie) Locher, Crofton, MD, Alexander T. Burd, Chattanooga, TN, Hannah, Tom, and Tim Locher all of Wayne, PA; great grandchildren, Makenzie and Reilly Butler both of Garnet Valley, PA; sister, Betty Vuckovich, Johnstown; brothers, Blaine, Johnstown, and Sylvester, East Taylor Township; son-in-law, David Burd, Chattanooga, TN; sister-in-law, Vickie Gjurich, Gallitzin; brother-in-law, Milan Saula, Franklin and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Zora was a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, bubba, teta, sister and friend who had a great sense of humor, a radiant smile, and an infectious laugh. Friends will be received from 2-8 pm on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Pomen will be sung at 7 P.M. An addition viewing will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, St. Clair Road, followed immediately by the funeral service.  The V. Rev. Fr. C. Michael Simerick presiding. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions be directed to Mary Ellen Locher Breast Cancer Center at Memorial Hospital, 2525 Desales Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404-1102 in memory of Zora Locher.
