AUGUSTINE-- Wilna Irene (Brush), 92, Flint, TX, formerly of Johnstown, PA, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2022. Born June 22, 1929, in Indiana County, daughter of Samuel M. and Wilna I. (Fockler) Brush. Preceded in death by parents and husband, Anthony Ralph Augustine, on January 28, 2006, ending 56 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by brothers: Ralph; Donald, Samuel, Robert, Carl and Roy Brush, and sisters: Vera Shank and Nancy Brush. Survived by daughters: Gloria I. wife of Thomas Sikora, Flint, TX (with whom she resided); Audrey J. wife of Gerald Basko, Johnstown and Debra A. (Sottile) wife of Albert Berman, Missouri City, TX. Six grandchildren: Matthew A. and Philip R. Sikora; Nicholas J. Sottile (Kathryn Hamilton); Gina M. Sottile-Kelley (Larry); Elizabeth A. Sottile-Pudlo (Andrew) and Adam C. Berman. Nine great-grandchildren: Ezekiel, Alexander, Levy, Charlotte, and Declan Kelley; Julie and Audrey Sottile and Theodore and Lillian Pudlo all of Texas. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, the former Letitia Snyder (Roy) and Pauline Noon (Samuel), Johnstown, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Wilna graduated from Richland High School in 1948 and was employed by RCA, Lancaster, PA until 1950 and retired after 20 years as a teacher from The Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren Nursery School. Former member of the First Evangelical Congregation Church of Johnstown and The Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren where she enjoyed volunteering endless hours with friends. Wilna and Ralph were foster parents for 22 years and she has always had a love for gardening, crocheting; her bowling leagues, and playing cards with friends. Wilna was happiest when she was spending time and traveling with her family. Her wonderful sense of humor, sharp wit, and willingness to always help others will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be directed to The Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, 1068 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15902. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Brad Griesheimer officiating.
