Willis V. Marsh Jr.

Marsh, Willis V., Jr., 88, of Jackson Township, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on September 12, 1925 in Jackson Township, son of Willis V. Sr. and Etta M. (Grove) Marsh. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha R. (Allbaugh) Marsh; brother, Raymond; sister, Elsie Jane Maupin. He is survived by his loving children, Bonnie L. Bauer, Jackson Township, Willis V. III, married to the former Doris L. Howell, Rome, OH, and Martha Diane, wife of Joseph Rzeszut, Geneva on the Lake, OH; grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Gillen, East Taylor Township, Crystal (Neil) Gordon, Shelby, NC, Bridgett (David) Balzarano, Dayton, OH, Willis V. (Kay) Marsh IV, TN, Rebecca (Todd) Alderton, Geneva, OH, Joseph Rzeszut, Geneva, OH; great grandchildren, Michael Gillen, Brandon and Mason Gordon, Alex and Anthony Balzarano, Terry, Bethany and Dominic Marsh, and Justin and Jordan Alderton. He is also survived by his faithful brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Marie) Marsh, Vinco, who were always there for him; several nieces, nephews, and his faithful companion, Abbey. Willis was a US Army Veteran serving during WW II. He retired from US Steel after 37 years of service as a welder. Willis was a member of Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting his lawn. Willis loved sitting on his daughter’s, porch every evening, and spending time with his dog and family. Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. at Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Marvin Lowery officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team.
