William F. McQuaide

McQuaide, William F., 83, of Johnstown. Died Oct. 30, 2017. Born April 3, 1934, in Spring Church, Armstrong County, PA. Son of the late William C. and Tressa A. (Frederick) McQuaide. Also preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy L. Stone, Agnes K. Williamson, Betty Jane Wingard and Nora Gene Walker; and granddaughter, Kelsey K. McQuaide. Survived by wife, Sandi L. (Pilot); sons, Rex (Maura), Randy and Rick (Lorrie); grandchildren, Megan (Michael) Montag, Erin (Christopher) Martella, Quinn, Keegan, Tressa (Daniel) Miller, Patrick, Derick, and step granddaughters, Brandy, Brittany and Bailey; great grandchildren, Madison, Madden, Luca, Geno, Ava and Mason. Brother of Leland (Dorothy) and Stanley (Debbie) McQuaide. Also, nieces and nephews. Graduate of Richland High School and the University of Miami, FL. Bill spent his career at W.C. McQuaide, Inc. and retired as President and Chairman of the Board. He also served as Director of 1st Summit Bank since 1969 and served as President and Chairman of the Board. Bill was a proud father and grandfather who was an avid Miami Hurricanes fan and a licensed pilot who enjoyed aviation. Services and interment will be private and entrusted to Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
