William E. McCreary

McCreary, William E. “Chilli”, 63, Richland Township. Died April 13, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center after battling many health struggles.  Born Dec. 7, 1948, in Johnstown. Son of William and Adele (Carlson) McCreary. Preceded in death by father. Survived by mother, Johnstown; wife of 38 years, Mary (Huster); daughter, Stacey, wife of Jamie Keilman, Vinco; son, Brandon McCreary and Nicole Thomas, Richland; daughter, Lisa Coval, Johnstown; grandchildren, Gage, Aisilinn, Grayson and Kerrigan; and soon to be born grandson, Connor William Keilman. Brother of Mary Ann, wife of Garry Anderson, ND. 1966 graduate of Johnstown High School. Retired from Wire Division, Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Coached at V.E. Erickson Little League for his son, Brandon’s baseball team and daughter Stacey’s softball team. Bill never missed his children’s sporting events as a coach or as their biggest fan.  Former member of By George Inn Softball Team in the city league and the Johnstown Corvette Club.  An avid hunter and fisherman who spent many days hunting with his son, Brandon.  Loved fast cars and fast boats. Bill had a love for and raised Labs. We are sure that Coco, Beau, Bailey and Willis will be waiting at the gates of heaven for Bill. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family and many dear friends. Bill was a beloved son, husband, father and friend. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where service will be held at 11 am Tuesday.
