William R. Long

Long – William R., 84, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2021. Born on November 14, 1936 in Twin Rocks, PA, son of William Clarence and Louella Irene (Adams) Long. Preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Pearl Arlene (Hopfer) Long; infant daughter, Melissa Anne; sister, Alice; brothers, John, Tom, Don, and Richard. He is sadly missed by his loving children, Joyce Arlene Burrows, East Conemaugh, Donna Jean, wife of John Heckman, Richland Township, and David Wayne, married to the former Lisa Wingsikle, Johnstown; 12 grandchildren, Sarah, married to Matt Bier, Lynn, engaged to Jordan Curcija, Michael and Madeline Burrows, Johnny, Jessica, married to Brad Sowerbrower, and Steven Heckman, Dawn Gougenour, Jeremy Barber, Tricia Stahl, Matthew Long, and Ivy Long; great grandchildren, Rory, Sylys, Jocelyn, and Elowen. Bill retired from GKI, where he was employed as a fabricator for 35 years. He was a member of Homestead Avenue United Methodist Church. Bill enjoyed collecting old model cars. He loved his family very much and will be remembered for his kind and loving nature. At Bill’s request, there will be no public viewing.
