Boltz, William J., 87, of Geistown. Died October 29, 2011, at Richland Woods. Born Oct. 31, 1923, in Johnstown. Son of the late Clarence L. and Jean (Peron) Boltz. Also preceded in death by wife, Helen J. (Smith) Boltz. Survived by these children; Kathy, wife of Richard Filipiak, West Bloomfield, MI; and David, married to the former Judy Stewart, Johnstown; grandson, Brandon Phillips, West Bloomfield, MI. 1942 graduate of Johnstown High School. WW II Veteran Army Sgt. in both the European and Japanese Theatre. Retired machinist from U.S. Steel Corp. Member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Former member of Geistown-Richland Lions Club. A licensed HAM radio operator. Bill was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather who was a very gentle soul. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Pastors Custead, Officiating. Entombment at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum with military rites by Menoher Post # 155, VFW Ritual Team. Friends received 3-5 and 6-8 pm Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and 1 hour prior to service at church. (Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com)
