Gillin, Willa Jean, 87, of East Taylor Township, went to be with her Lord on September 4, 2013, at the Church of the Brethren Home. She was born on September 16, 1925 in Johnstown. Daughter of Fred A. Sr. and Minnie M. (Reighard) Agey. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Richard D. Gillin; three infant grandchildren and one infant great grandson; brother, Fred Agey Jr. and sister, Lorena Miller. She is survived by her loving children, Cindy wife of Robert Barclay, Chagrin Falls, OH, Marsha wife of Charles Smith, Johnstown, Andrea wife of Barry Thompson, Mechanicsburg, PA, Zane married to the former Rose Alvarez, Goshen, IN and Daria wife of Frank Huber, Brick, NJ; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gerry Agey, Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Willa Jean was a life-long member of Conemaugh Church of the Brethren. She and her late husband, Richard pastored many churches and were active in church organizations, including Western PA Church of the Brethren Disaster Services. They participated in several projects in the United States helping areas that were hit by hurricanes, floods or tornadoes. Willa Jean enjoyed teaching in the Sunshine Club and childrenâs ministries. She will be remembered for her kind hospitality. Willa Jean welcomed people from many walks of life into her home. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Monday at the Conemaugh Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Horrace âButchâ Derr officiating. Interment will be at Headrick Union Cemetery.
