Wilbert Bailey Jr.

BAILEY---Wilbert E. Jr., 66, Windber, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2021. Born April 17, 1955, son of Wilbert Earl Sr. and Shirley Jean (Yoder) Bailey. Preceded in death by mother and brothers, Richard and Kenneth. Survived by father, Wilbert E. Bailey Sr., Cleveland; wife of 44 years Ruth A. (Leeper), children, Wilbert E. Bailey III (Renee), Beaverdale and Joel Bailey (Chrissy), Johnstown; grandchildren, Blain, Mikayla, Mason (Sydney), Isaac, Livia, Brynn and Mallory and great-grandson Dezmond Julius. Brothers and Sisters, Darlene (Harry), Beverly, Allen, Jamie (Julia), Sherrie (Dave), Shawn (Georgina), Ernest (Brandy) and Maggie. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Wilbert was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Vietnam era. He was in law enforcement for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed teaching his grandchildren to hunt and enjoyed motorcycle riding. He also enjoyed metal detecting wherever he was. He attended Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship where he was active with Sunday school video ministry and security. The family will receive friends from Noon until time of Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Pastor James Gay and Pastor Ed Berringer officiating.
