Hoover – Wesley J., 49, of Blairsville, went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2017 at William Penn Care Center, Jeannette, PA. Born on February 22, 1968 in Johnstown, son of Judith A. (Constable) Matlin, Upper Yoder Township and Earl W. Hoover, Blairsville, PA. Preceded in death by his step father, Ronald F. Matlin. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving step mother, Helen J. Hoover, Blairsville; brother, Jason E. (Sheila) Hoover; step sister, Lisa (Matthew) Valko; aunt, Darlene L. (Thomas) Carstensen; uncle, Albert “Abby” Hoover; nephews, Logan Hoover, Nathan, Austin, and Isaac Valko and several friends, including special friend, Tom Ruffner. Wes attended Westmont Hilltop Schools, and later graduated from Derry Area High school in 1986. He was employed in the automotive field until he was diagnosed with MS then later as a Cadd Operator for several engineering firms in the Pittsburgh area. Wes enjoyed working on cars, drawing, and working on computers. He loved driving around in his 1979 black Ford Bronco. At Wes’s request, there will be no public viewing. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Toby Holland officiating. Inurnment will be at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163 in memory of Wesley.
