Virginia M. Dixon

Dixon, Virginia M., “Ginny”, 80, of Fords Corner, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2013 at home. Born on December 15, 1932 in Parkhill, PA, daughter of Percy W. and Huldah M. (Yeater) Bennett. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale L. Dixon Sr.; granddaughter, Kelly Ann Dixon; sister, Shirley J. Baum; brother-in-law, Richard Baum and daughters-in-law, Ruth E. (Smeed) Dixon and Joann (Zuhl) Dixon. She is survived by her loving children, Dale L. Jr., married to the former Peggy Whitt, Spring City, TN, Bryan L., married to the former Debra A. Brown, Johnstown, David W., married to the former Shirley Frederick, Singer Hill, Dennis W., married to the former Cindy L. Williamson, Mundys Corner, Belinda M., wife of Stephen M. Showalter, Hollsopple, Tammy L., wife of Bruce A. Baker, Mundys Corner, and Lisa J., and her fiancée, Harry P. Bugal, Mundys Corner; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and her loving dog, Candy Mae. Virginia attended Singer Hill Grace Brethren Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cutting grass and feeding her deer. Virginia loved camping, boating and the outdoors, with her entire family. She will be remembered for her independent nature. Friends will be received from 2-7 P.M. on Thursday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Joe Couch officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
