Violet M. Wieczorek

Wieczorek - Violet M., 89, East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2016 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born May 26, 1927 in Johnstown, daughter of Paul and Angeline (Widziszewska) Ziemba. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Joseph, Sr.; brothers, Blaine and Robert Ziemba; sisters, Olive Babyak and Angeline Hall; daughter-in-law, Dineen Wieczorek, and special friends, Jennie Mitnik, Leona R. Keytack, Angie Sedlemyer. Survived by these loving children, Walter J., Jr., Hopewell, PA, Thomas P., Ebensburg, Elaine M., wife of James Barbera, Johnstown, Kathleen, wife of Timothy Thomas, Rhode Island; sister, Joan, wife of James Frischauf, Johnstown; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Violet was a graduate of Conemaugh High School. She was a member of Ss. Gregory and Barnabas Parish, Bon Air. Violet enjoyed playing BINGO, polka music and volunteering at the church with fish fries, as well as making nut rolls and pierogies. She loved her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Violet had a heart of gold. Friends received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, East Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Ss. Gregory and Barnabas Parish, Bon Air, Fr. Robert Ruston, pastor. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
