Violet M. Kenney

Kenney, Violet M., 87, of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2013. She was born on November 10, 1925, in Bolivar. Daughter of Frank and Mary J. (Dryburg) Gallardo. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James R. Kenney Sr.; son, James R. Jr.; brothers, Tom, and John; sister, Cleda Straw and a sister in law, Josephine Gallardo. Survived by her loving daughters, Linda L. Clark, Windber and Pamela J. wife of Joel Popma, Richland; grandchildren, Michael (Laura) Popma, Joel (Kristy) Popma, Heather (Brandon) Schenck, Amy Kenney, and Rema and Charles Clark; 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews. Violet was a welder during the war. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Violet enjoyed playing cards, singing and dancing and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3-8 P.M. on Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Richland Cemetery.
