Vernon D. Wolfhope

Wolfhope, Vernon D., 79, of Elton. Died Nov. 11, 2011, at Windber Medical Center. Born Nov. 10, 1932, in Johnstown. Son of the late Vernon and Twila (Emeigh) Wolfhope. Also preceded in death wife, Doris I. (Berkebile); and brother, Larry. Survived by daughter, Marcia Wolfhope, Sterling, VA; and son Mark, married to the former Margie (Dressick), Summerhill. Grandchildren; Jessica and Meagan; great grandchildren; JuliAnn and Trenton Mehall. Brother of Ray, married to the former Carole (Layman), Salix; and sister, Donna, wife of Frank Percosky, Florida. Also, sisters in law, Patricia Wolfhope, Florida; and Connie, wife of Warren Kinzey, Johnstown. Numerous nieces and nephews. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Retired as a mechanic from Miller Motors, Salix. Member of St. Michael American Legion Post #551 and New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club. Friends received from 4-8 pm Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday. Rev. Don Poole, Officiating.
