Berkebile, Verda J. 91, of Belmont. Died June 11, 2020 at home. Born July 4, 1928, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Curtis and Blanche (Spory) Waters. Also proceeded in death by husband, Donald A. Berkebile; brother, George Waters; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Judy Waters, Gladys Hiner, Mildred (Sis) Luther, Vernon Berkebile, and Dot Berkebile. Survived by sons, Dan (Sharon Stitzer), Barry (Roxann Lusardi), and Todd (Gail Sleek) Berkebile, all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Laura (Keith) Hower, Jennifer (Erik Schmalz) Berkebile, Megan (Jason) Cabinaw, Heather Berkebile, Steve (Ashley) Golias, Dan (Kate) Golias, and Drew (Marianna) Golias; and great-grandchildren, Dillon, Maya, Axel, Eli, Ian, Noah and Mason. Sister of Curtis Waters. She is also survived by her dog, Abbie III, and numerous nieces and nephews. Verda was a graduate of Johnstown High School and assisted her husband with his construction business along with being a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Moxham Lutheran Church and the church quilting group. Verda was artistic and enjoyed painting and crafts. She liked to travel and loved picnics at her farm! She and Don wintered in Florida for over 30 years. Special Thanks to all the wonderful Ladies and men of Ascera Hospice Care who helped her through her final days.
