Velma Lucia Costanzo

Costanzo, Velma Lucia, 96, of Richland. Died May 22, 2016, in Sun City West, AZ. Born Feb. 5, 1920, in Moss Creek, PA. Daughter of the late Pietro and Susanna (Perticari) Carnevali. Also preceded in death by husband, Arthur E. “Art” Costanzo; siblings, Joseph, Valentina, Dominick, Hugo and Raymond. Survived by these children; John (Cindy Mundwiler), St. John, Virgin Islands; Edward (Karen Kawchak), Richland; Richard (Tina Brenchick), Baltimore, MD; and Susan (Greg Maffeo), Surprise, AZ; grandchildren, Marx, Ian, Kira, Brianna, Sean, Ryan, Katie and Carly; and great grandchildren, Marx, Jr., Matthew, Jackson, Ashlyn, Steven and Iris and twin sister, Velsie Zanzuccki. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown; Windber Country Club and Blue Knob Ski Club. Velma loved her family and always put them first. She loved to cook and dance with her partner, Arthur. Velma skied into her seventies and traveled into her nineties, especially on cruises to visit family and friends. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at St. Benedict Church. Fr.
