MILLER- Timothy R., 71, of Johnstown, PA, passed away peacefully on November 28th, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 3, 1953, Tim was the beloved son of the late Ken and Elizabeth( McCloskey) Miller. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Weaver, and nephew, Brian Weaver. Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Lauren Miller, of Richland Township; his daughters, Amber (Jeremy) of Ashland, KY, and Ashley of Richland Township, brother Jim Miller (Leda) Richland Township; and his two best fur buddies, Max and Elsa, who brought him endless joy. A proud lifetime member of the NRA, Tim was deeply involved in his community as a past commander of the Sons of the American Legion, a member of Menoher Post 155 VFW, and the American Legion. He was also an active member of the North Winds Golf Club. Tim was passionate about his country and an avid supporter of those who served. Tim worked diligently throughout his career at Abex, First Miss Steel, North American Höganäs, and Leventry LLC. Known for his work ethic and dependability, he earned the nickname “MacGyver” and the respect of all who knew him professionally. An avid golfer, Tim found great joy in both playing and teaching the game. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, embracing the outdoors with enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for nature. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tim's memory to the Cambria County Humane Society, reflecting his love for animals, especially his beloved fur buddies, Max and Elsa. A celebration of Tim's life will be held on Monday December 2nd from 2pm-6pm at Harris Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Geistown on Tuesday December 3rd at 2 pm. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private inurnment at Richland Cemetery. He will be remembered for his steadfast values, his love of family, and his passion for life. Tim will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
