Timothy Edward Hornick

Hornick – Timothy Edward, 55, of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2016 at his residence. Born on January 16, 1961 in Lackawanna, NY, son of Bernard C. and Agnes L. (Over) Hornick. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his children, Rosalie, married to Douglas Bench, Jr., Stephanie, Tiffany, Timothy C., Christopher, and their mother Mary Ann (Gembinski); brother, Raymond W. married to former Mary K. Katsikaris; several cousins, nieces, nephews, beloved pets, and many caring friends. Tim was a 1979 graduate of Bishop McCort High School, and 1986 graduate of UPJ. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and past member of the Knights of Columbus. Tim began his career as an accountant in Alexandria, VA, and was always seeking to experience many attractions, festivities, and events the area offered with his family. After returning to his hometown, he became a truck driver for several trucking companies. He was an avid supporter of and loved attending events of the Bishop McCort football and marching band. Tim enjoyed the many traditions and staples of Johnstown and western PA, watching football, the annual St. Benedict’s reunion, and a good conversation. He also appreciated the dedication and company of his many caretakers in his later years. Friends will be received from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor with committal to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Geistown.
