RHOADS--Thomas L. “Dusty,” 73, died December 11, 2020 at Windber Woods after a long illness. Born March 8, 1947, in Johnstown, son of the late Elvin L. and Helene E. (Wallace) Rhoads-Rowland, and sister, Dian L. Lamer. Survived by sister, Romayne L. Scalf, Nashville, TN. Dusty was a 1965 graduate of Richland High School and a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He had 42 years of service as a truck driver, formerly employed by Torkarsky Trucking and W.C. McQuaides, Inc. He worked 10 years as a sales person for Zepka Harley-Davidson. Prior to his illness, Dusty was a member of the Windber American Legion, Post #4795 and a Life Member of the Fern Brook Camp in Clearfield County. Dusty was an avid Harley-Davidson rider for 55 years. Private services for family and close friends will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, followed by interment at Richland Cemetery Soldiers Circle with military graveside rites by Windber VFW Post #4795 ritual team.
