Thomas M. Pennington

Pennington, Thomas M., 69, Johnstown. Went to meet his Lord and Savior on April 11, 2016, at Conemaugh Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.  Born on August 2, 1946, in Oil City, PA . Son of the late Rev. Charles M. and Dorothy M. (Wahlberg) Pennington. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Charles H.; sister, Carol Fry; and niece, Cheryl Fry. Survived by loving wife Georgia Lee (Kokoruda) with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on Sept. 17, 2016; children, Sheri (Mike) George; Cindy (Mark) Zatek; and Thomas C. (Nora) Pennington. Grandchildren, Nichole Page, Thomas A., Anya and Steven; Sara and Samantha; and Jack, Dylan and J.T.; and great grandson, Jayden. Brothers, Edward D., Douglas F. (Linda) and John W. Pennington. Also numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. 1964 graduate of Johnstown High School.  Formerly employed for 20 years at Bethlehem Steel and Retired with 20 years’ service as a Correction Officer at Cambria County Prison. Former longtime member of Johnstown Alliance Church and currently a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Johnstown. Tom was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who lived for God and his family. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 AM to time of service at 11 AM Saturday at Memorial Baptist Church. Pastor Wayne Ayer and Rev.
