Thomas C. "Fudge" Nimitz

NIMITZ----Thomas C. “Fudge,” 73, Richland, passed away on November 7, 2022, at home. Born on June 22, 1949, in Johnstown, son of John and Elva (Haden) Nimitz. Preceded in death by parents; and mother-in-law, Mary Botteicher. Survived by wife of 43 years, Cindy (Botteicher), and son, Joseph Thomas Nimitz and wife, Meredith (Conrad) and grandson, McCarthy “Mac,” all of Morgantown, WV; and brothers, Ron and Randy and sisters, Terri and Susan. Fudge loved life and loved his family. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. He was employed for many years by Jenmar Corporation in Cresson and also at St. Andrew’s Catholic School in Johnstown. He was a stay-at-home dad for many years allowing his wife’s career to flourish. Recently, one of his greatest pleasures in life was spending time with his grandson, Mac. Fudge was always willing to do anything for his family regardless of the request. He will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where vigil will be held.
