Haupt â Thomas G., 83, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2014 at Richland Woods Assisted Living Center. Born on February 2, 1931 in Johnstown, son of William and Mary (Picklo) Haupt. Preceded in death by parents; 1st wife, Dorothy Jacklevich; sisters, Bertha Mae, Ester; brothers, Joseph, Theodore; sister-in-law, Phyllis Ferguson. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Gladys E. (Henry) Haupt, Richland Township; children, Clarence W. Cramer, Richland Township, Nancy E., wife of Dan Bajorek, Niagara Falls, NY, and David P. Cramer, Biloxi, MS; grandchildren, Clarence, Paul, and Krissy Cramer; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; siblings, Howard Haupt, Johnstown and Mary Ellen, wife of John Matcho, Richland Township; sister-in-law, Audrey C. Rubis, Richland Township, Mary C., wife of Bob Hammer, Levittown, PA, and Lois J. Jordan, Bellingham, WA and several nieces and nephews. Tom was a 1954 graduate of Johnstown High School. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Tom retired from Bethlehem Steel. He was a member Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church; Conemaugh Valley Marine Corp. League Det. #287 and the American Legion Post #849, Richland. Tom enjoyed camping, going to Hymn sings and church. He will be remembered as a kind hearted loving husband, step father and brother, who always had a smile on his face. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. by the Conemaugh Valley Marine Corp. League Det. #287. An additional viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Pastor Custeads officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Conemaugh Valley Marine Corp. League Det. #287 at the church. Private entombment will be at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
