Baligush – Theodore, 83, Jackson Township, went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2016 at his residence. Born on October 26, 1932 in Johnstown, son of Peter and Susan (Belush) Baligush. Preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kristen Baligush; siblings, John, Jean Knipple, Martha Toth, Ann Majcher, and Olga Pinizzotto. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol M. (Gay) Baligush, Jackson Township; children, Cynthia J. Baligush, Kevin T., Thomas R. and his fiancée, Barbara Bostian, Brian J. all of Johnstown, Terrence P., married to the former Joyce Prince, Catonsville, MD, and Carolyn M., wife of Dr. Harold Yang, Camp Hill, PA; grandchildren, Stephen (Greta) and Adam (Tara) Yesenosky, Kaitlyn, Jessica, and Emily Baligush, Teresa and Patrick Yang, and Charles Baligush; great grandchildren, Brady, Beckett, and Hadley Yesonosky, and Chase and Elle Yesenosky; sisters, Irene Richey, Johnstown, and Delores Stukbauer, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was a 1950 graduate of Johnstown High School. He was a US Coast Guard Veteran serving during the Korean War. Ted retired from Bethlehem Steel, Franklin Mills, after 35 years of service as an electrician. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church; West Central PA Notre Dame Club; Nanty Glo Polish Club; Retired Men’s Club; Conemaugh-Franklin American Legion Post #633; and the Jackson Senior Center. Ted enjoyed going to the casinos, traveling with his family, avid Notre Dame football and Pittsburgh Pirate fan. He will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Fr. Andrew C. Stanko, Pastor. Committal will be at Grandview Cemetery with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 3513 William Penn Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15909 in memory of Ted.
