Telford Wayne Allison

Allison, Telford W., “Wayne”, 87, of Richland. Died August 12, 2016, at Arbutus Park Manor.  Born November 9, 1928 in Johnstown, PA., son of the late John B. and Mary M. (Knisley) Allison. Preceded in death by parents, wife, Vera J. (Moore) Allison; son John E. Allison; brother Ronald C.; and sister, Vera L. Adams. Survived by these children, Bruce W., formerly married to Deborah Leventry, deceased, presently married to Kay L. Harper, Daniel R. married to Lou Ann Barry, Greensboro NC, Pamela J., wife of Paul Carpenter, Landisville, PA, Mary L., wife of Michael Dooley, Lancaster, PA, Kimberly R., wife of Fred Huet, Friedens, PA, and Julie Goggin, wife of Paul Goggin, Davidsville, PA. Grandchildren: Scott, Ben, Kathy, Jennifer, Christina, Andrew, Paul, Katie, Eric, Allison, John, and Jarrett; Great Grandchildren: Megan, Taylor, Sara Jane, Connor, Piper, Chloe, Emmett, Keeley, Austin, Luke, Clara and Owen. Member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren.  Wayne was “working man’s best friend” as a rate setter at the Bethlehem Steel Rod and Wire Division. He was president of the bowling league and played the steel guitar in the band “Lonesome Valley Cowboys”.  Wayne was a wonderful husband, father, pap and great grandfather.  He will truly be missed by his family. Friends received 4-8 pm Sunday August 14th at the Harris Funeral Home 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10am to time of service at 11am Monday at the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren.  Rev.
