Sue Gasior

Gasior, Sue, 92, of East Conemaugh and the Allegheny Lutheran Home, went to be with her Lord and Savior May 19, 2012.  Sue was born on January 9, 1920 in Conemaugh, PA. Daughter of Wassil and Anna (Sokach) Kassick.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William; grandson David; sisters Mary Lupek, Helen Rygle, Anna Yakemik and Irene Curtis; brothers Andy Kassick, George “York” Kassick, Charles “Shotgun” Kassick and John “Jupe” Kassick. Sue is survived by her sons, William married to the former Bernice Allen, West Chester, PA and Larry married to the former Sharen Blume, Irvine CA; grandchildren Cathy Jo Foust and husband Jack, Karen Corson and husband Rick, both of East Taylor, William D. Gasior and wife Cheryl, Homer City and Jodi Lubinsky and husband Mike, Carlisle; great grandchildren, Jack Foust, Katlyn Mastovich,  Richard Corson, Peyton and Parker Lubinsky. Also “Bub” to Michael, Barbara, Emily and Erin Allen, Coatesville and Ryan Minniti, Homer City. Sister of Dorothy Lamberson, Johnstown.  Sisters-in-law Sophie Cutirillo, Mary Kazik, Irene, Pearl and Jane Kassick and numerous nieces and nephews. Sue was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, East Conemaugh. She was a lifetime member of the Conemaugh Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sitting on her porch. Sue took pride in her homemade bread. Viewing will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Parastas will be sung at 5:15 P.M. Funeral service will begin at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home continued immediately after at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, The Very Rev. Arch Priest George Johnson. Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 427 First Street, Conemaugh, PA 15909 or to the Allegheny Lutheran Home, 807 Goucher Street, Johnstown, PA 15905 in memory of Sue.
