Steven W. Ferguson

 FERGUSON----Steven W., 62, Richland, passed away on January 18, 2025 at home. Born August 10, 1962, in Anchorage, AK, son of Eugene J. Sr. and Pearline “Fran” (Whitlock) Ferguson. Preceded in death by parents and son, Steven W. Ferguson Jr. Survived by wife, Janice L. (Botteicher) Ferguson; children, Heather Null (Eugene), Burke, VA; Ryan Ferguson, Northern Virginia; John Polacek (Ashley), Richland; Alex Polacek, Richland; grandchildren, Caroline, Jack, Violet, Rylie, Pierce, Paytyn, Parker, Paxton and Piper. Brother of Debbie Dobyns (Lee), Barbara Ferguson, Jeff Ferguson (Amy) and Chuck Ferguson. Steven was a musician and he played in wedding bands and also played acoustic guitar and was known as “the acoustic dude.” He was a US Army veteran. At Steven’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a memorial service in the spring in the state of Virginia where Steven lived most of his life. He requested that his ashes be spread in the Gulf Coast where he loved to fish. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
