Stephanie M. Biss

Biss – Stephanie M., 65, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2023. Born on March 20, 1958 in Johnstown, daughter of Stephen and Florence (Niepoky) Galayda. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steve, and Larry Galayda; uncles, Stanley “Whitey”, and Joe Niepoky.  

She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Frank Biss; brother, Philip Galayda, East Conemaugh; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Stephanie was a graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. She retired from DRS after 22 years of service as a sales representative. After retirement, she was employed at Conemaugh Valley High School in the maintenance department. Stephanie was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration. She enjoyed arts, crafts, planting a garden, and riding a motorcycle. Stephanie was a charter member of the American Legion Riders of Park Hill Post #970. She loved her dogs, Rocky and Cookie, but especially her husband, Frank.
