Stella E. Grata

Grata, Stella E., 70, of Vinco. Died July 5, 2014, in Lewistown, PA. Born September 16, 1943, in Windber. Daughter of the late Irvin A. and Stella D. (Pileski) Smolko. Also preceeded in death by sisters Margie and Velma.  Survived by husband of 51 years, Andrew; and  children; Theresa (Dondi) Wall, of Bluffton, SC; Bernadett (John) Shaver, of Little River, SC; Monica Grata of Vinco; Margaret (Timothy) Crust, of Altoona; Ann (Kevin) Byich, of Vinco; Andrew Jr (Kelly) Grata, of Merrillville, IN; Phil Grata (Patty Fye), of Vinco; and Mathew (Tina) Grata of Vinco.  Grandchildren: Morgan and Madison Wall;  John, Carly and Bridget Shaver;  Luke Grata (Jess DiPaul); Selena and Igor Ihnatenko,  Cassidy  (Jared Cartwright) and Saralyn Crust;  Noah and Sophia Byich; Andrew and Stephen Grata;  Heather Grata, (Jack and Carrie Fye);  Marian,  Benjamin, Jillian, and Lauren Grata. Great Grandchildren Evangeline and Liev Ihnatenko. Sister of Helen Kantz and Irvin (Carol) Smolko.  Also nieces and nephews.  Graduate of Franklin High School.  Employed by Central Cambria School District. Member of Church of the Transfiguration, Conemaugh.  Stella enjoyed playing horseshoes, bowling, camping, and casino trips. Most of all, she enjoyed cooking for a full house of family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Baker Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Church of the Transfiguration, Conemaugh. Father Robert A. Hall, Pastor. Committal at Assumption BVM Cemetery.
