Stanley J. Debias Sr.

DEBIAS—Stanley J. Sr., 83, Adams Township, passed away on March 21, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 23, 1938, in Windber son of Anthony and Nellie (Lippon) Debias. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John, George and Nick and sisters, Mary Potts, Dorothy Martin and Rose Orlovsky. Survived by wife of 51 years, Linda R. (Yokitis) whom he married on April 13, 1970; children, Stanley J. Debias Jr. (Lynn), Rodney W. Debias, and Timothy J. Debias (Leanne), all of Adams Township; grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Jessica, Shane, Kylie and Paige Debias; and great-granddaughter, Salina. Brother of Anthony Debias, Robert Debias (Beryl), Gloria Boone (Richard), Judy Stoops and Evelyn Wadsworth (Emerson). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Stan worked for Bethlehem Steel for 33 years, where he was a blaster in the paint shop. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. For many years he fished in Canada for walleye with family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in Bedford County for many years. Stan enjoyed gardening and took great pride in what he grew in it. He was very proud of his sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-granddaughter and their accomplishments. Member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where vigil will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork, with Fr. Joseph Nale officiating. Entombment, Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
