Sophie R. Beroldi

Beroldi, Sophie R., 92, East Taylor Township, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on September 6, 1921 in East Conemaugh. Daughter of Alex and Catherine (Oshansky) Hunko. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Michael Beroldi; sisters, Ann and Mary; brothers, Nicholas, John, and Steven Anthony; son-in-law, David Bernardy. She is survived by her loving daughters, Linda, wife of Geoff Loris, Pocatello, ID, Bonnie A. Bernardy, Westmont and Michele C., wife of John Ewasko, Johnstown; sisters-in-law, Perena Beroldi and Helen Albert both of Inverness, FL and Sue Hunko, Kinston, AL and several God-daughters and nieces and nephews. Sophie was first employed in house-keeping at the Swank Building and later was employed in the cafeteria at East Taylor Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, BINGO, casino trips, and walking the board walk. Sophie loved baking and canning and feeding her family. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Monday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Parastas will be sung at 7:30 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Father Robert F. Oravetz. Committal will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, 217 Fourth Street, Conemaugh, Pa 15909 in memory of Sophie.
