Taormina, Shirley R., (Wagner) 84, of Belmont. She died Sept 2, 2011 at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born Feb 4, 1927 near Carpenter Park, as daughter of late Harry & Edith Wagner. She was the last surviving sibling of 8 brothers and sisters. Preceded in death by sons James R. and Daniel J., and her husband Anthony J. Taormina. Survived by loving sons Charles A. of Johnstown and Thomas L. and wife Nancy of Wexford, Pa. Grandchildren Amy, Anthony, Nancy and Charles’s daughter Angela L., wife of Jeff Deaner of Chicago, IL. Shirley was married for 64 years and worked as seamstress at Glosser Brothers in Johnstown. Active homemaker with a devotion to her family, and a love for baking, gardening, jogging, crafts, extensive sewing, and visiting with friends and relatives. She loved reading books in later years and always had a special fondness for animals. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Family and friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass 10 am Wednesday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. Davis S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at Richland Cemetery. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. (Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com)
