Shirley C. Swain

Swain, Shirley C., 91, of Richland. Died on July 14, 2024 at Laurelwood Care Center. Born December 1, 1932, in Nanty Glo. Daughter of the late Clair M. and Mercedes M. (Detandt) Yoder. Also preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Harry J. Swain, Jr.; siblings, Mabel Yoder, Richard Yoder, Alice Berkebile, Irene Yoder, and Jack Yoder. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews. Attended Cambria-Rowe Business College and Retired from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. A member of Memorial Baptist Church. Shirley enjoyed crafting, gardening and was an avid reader. Friends will be received Friday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Carl F. Irwin officiating.
