Shirley J. Hruska

Hruska – Shirley J., 85, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2020. Born on May 5, 1935 in Sidman, daughter of Nellie (Crum) Walls. Preceded in death by mother, husband, John Hruska; grandson, Ryan M. Hofecker; siblings, Dorothy Lehman, Vivian Thomas, Betty Messick, and Charles Walls. She is survived by her loving children, Vicki L. (Clark) Hofecker, Richland Township and John L. (Michele) Hruska, Hooversville; grandchildren, Kaylin M. (Pino) Gallina and Cody D. (Lindsey) Hofecker; great grandsons, Hudson and Cody “CJ”; sisters, Virginia Jakubac and Violet Woolaston; sister-in-law, Shirley Walls and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was a graduate of Wilmore High School. She was a beauty school graduate and owned her own beauty shop. Shirley was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and a longtime member of its choir; Past Matron of the Anna L. Windolph Chapter #495 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Rise and Stride Walkers Club Galleria. She was active on the Cambria County Election Board for many years. Shirley enjoyed walking every morning at the Galleria, but mostly loved spending time with her children, grand and great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bethany United Methodist Church, with the Rev.
