Shirley Ann Hiborik

HIBORIK---Shirley Ann, 74, Johnstown. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Hiborik after a brave battle with cancer. Shirley was originally from Johnstown, PA, relocated to Tulsa, OK and most recently, Greensburg, PA. Shirley was a light to the world, often called an angel by her many friends. She was always cracking jokes and making the people she cared about laugh with her sharp wit. Shirley spent the majority of her career at Sheetz in Parkhill, PA, where she made lifelong friends and truly loved all of her customers. Upon retirement, Shirley enjoyed being involved in church, spending time with her family and connecting with niece, Michaela and best friend, Deb. She loved long phone calls with her friends and family and going on adventures with Chrissy, Matt and Carina. She was preceded in death by husband, Ronald Hiborik; parents, Samuel and Lillian (Hillegass) Glacken; and sister, Dorothy Smith. She is survived by daughters, Chrissy (Hiborik) Whiting-Madison and husband, Matthew; and Barbara (Hiborik) Shaffer; grandchildren, Carina Whiting and Quinn Shaffer. She is also survived by bonus daughters, Suzanne Ruggieri and husband, John and Heather Kreke and husband, Bill. She was also blessed to have bonus grandchildren, Emily, Gabriel, Abigail, Jillian and Ember. Lastly, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of the Transfiguration with Fr. Robert C. Hall. Entombment, Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum.
