Sarah E. Guillarmod

Guillarmod - Sarah E., 88, of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2016 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on November 29, 1927 in Johnstown, daughter of Wesley and Nellie (Shaffer) Wolfe. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar R. Guillarmod; sons-in-law, Mike Auth and Barry Petak; sisters, Flora Mae Sowerbrower and Nellie Lee Grech and brothers, Charles, Clarence and Johnny. She is survived by her loving daughters, Deborah J. Auth, Pittsburgh, Linda S. Petak, Ebensburg, Sarah E., wife of Bruce Becker, Johnstown, Valerie A., wife of Michael Zubal, Johnstown, and Cheryl L., wife of Thomas Sabol, Johnstown; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, William Grech, Johnstown; several nieces, nephews, and her special 4 legged friend, Maggie. Sarah was a 1947 graduate of Richland High School. She was a charter member of Belmont United Methodist Church, where she was in the choir for over 50 years and served on multiple committees. Sarah was also a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Anna L. Windolph Chapter #495. She enjoyed camping with her grandchildren, singing, traveling, ceramics, and church activities. Sarah will be known for kindness and generosity to others and how she enjoyed planning and organizing trips and events. She loved her Lord and served Him in every capacity. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at Belmont United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Keith Dunn officiating. Private interment will be at Oak Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Belmont United Methodist Church, to be used for the renovation Fund, 107 Coldren Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Sarah.
