Ruth C. Widmann

Widmann, Ruth C., 100, of Geistown. Died peacefully May 20, 2017, at the home of her daughter Susan in Tennesee. Born Sept. 29, 1916, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Paul F. and Marie (Malzi) Adams. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas F. Widmann; son Paul J.; and siblings, Dorothy Long, Paul, Jr. and Gordon Adams. Mother of William C., married to the former Stephanie Gail Roseberry, Tenn.; Elaine, wife of Bruce Barton, Fla.; and Susan, wife of Deane Smith, Tenn. Also 10 Grandchildren. Sister of John E., Geistown; and Alice, wife of Lloyd Hughes and Joan Hall, both of Johnstown. Ruth and her husband owned and operated Widmann Beverage Company in Geistown for 24 years. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown since 1930. Ruth enjoyed bowling, reading and crossword puzzles. Friends received 4-8 PM Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 AM Friday St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Fr.
