She loved cardinals and accumulated quite a collection of cardinal items over the years. Her special saint was St. Jude; she was a patron of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for 50 years. She supported many charities, but this was her favorite. A devout Catholic, Ruth was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church since 1958 when the family moved to Richland Township from Conemaugh Borough. She was very active in the Cambria County Firemen’s Auxiliary and served for 45 years as Secretary or Assistant Secretary. There will be no public visitation, however family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 10 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor.
