Russell D. Dunn

Dunn, Russell D., 69, of Richland, died November 11, 2021, at Windber Hospice. Born February 14, 1952, in Greensburg. Son of the late James Dunn and Mabel (Heller) Rusnak. Also preceded in death by stepfather, Edward Rusnak and brothers, Ronald and Alan; and brother-in-law, Melvin Faith. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Susan (Faith); son, Alan L. Dunn and wife Staci (Reece), Richland; daughter, Angela J. Dunn and husband, Eric McMillan, Windber; grandchildren, Kali wife of Nathan Pepper, Anchorage, AK; Benjamin Dunn; Julia Burkhard; Andyn Reece; Juniper Dunn; great grandchildren, Cambria Pepper and Carson Dunn. Brother of Candice Dunn, South Carolina; and Denise, wife of John Miller, Jr., Beaverdale. He is survived by brother-in-law, Ronald Faith, whose wife Nancy is deceased; brother-in-law, Mark Zdelar, whose wife Janet is deceased; brother-in-law, Barry Faith, and wife Rebecca; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his close neighborhood friends, Walt and Joanie; Jim and Patty; Roy; and his best furry friend, Munch. Russ was fond of riding on the mountain with Susan; hunting and fishing; and playing cards. He will be remembered for his loving and joking spirit. He enjoyed his job as a school van driver. Veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard where he received many commendations and awards. He attended Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship where his Service will be held at 11 am Wednesday. Pastor James Gay. Friends received 2-8 pm Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 am to time of service at church. Interment with military rites by Menoher post #155 Ritual Team at Soldiers Circle in Richland Cemetery.
