Bobkoskie – Russell Leon, 80, Johnstown, PA, went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2021. Born on August 25, 1941 in Williamsport, PA, son of the late Leon Edward and Grace (Stettler) Bobkoskie. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda (Eck) Bobkoskie, Johnstown, to whom he was married on September 9, 1967; daughters, Cheryl (Kenneth) Chandler, Johnstown; Annette (Timothy) Zell, Lebanon, PA; Danielle Marx, Johnstown; grandchildren, Veronica Johns, Savanna Johns, Harlan Chandler, Ira Chandler, Kyhlian Rossell, Selena (Timothy) Merrick, Owen Zell, Nicholas Marx, Gretchen Marx, Ethan Marx, Matthew Feather, Andrew Feather, Robert Feather; great-grandchildren, Madilynn Wang, Elliot Wang, Oliver Czinka, Leo Merrick; Brother, Michael (Maggie) Bobkoskie, Sellersburg, IN; niece, Krystyna (Christopher) Helms, Phoenix, AZ; nephew, Edward Bobkoskie; great-niece, Reign Helms. special family, Melanie (Russell) Feather, Clinton, MD. Russell was a 1959 graduate of Williamsport High School and 1964 graduate of Lycoming College. He was employed as a Certified Industrial Hygienist by PA Dept. of Environmental Resources, Bethlehem Steel Company, and retired from National Loss Control Service Corp. Russell served as Sanitary Officer, Richland Twp.; Treasurer and Junior Safety Program Instructor of the Johnstown Rifle and Pistol Club; President of Greater Johnstown Postcard Club. He enjoyed astronomy, gardening, cooking, and history. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown; volunteered as an adult altar server for funerals and at the former St. Benedict Gift Shop. Friends will be received from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at the convenience of the family at Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville, PA. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2310 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 or to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Russell.
