Roy Paul Hillegass, Sr.

Hillegass – Roy P. Sr., 60, East Taylor Township, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2016 at his residence. Born on June 16, 1956 in Johnstown, son of Jack Sr. and Arlene (Rager) Hillegass. Preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jack G. Nelson; sister, Gloria Hill. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Diane C. (Smith) Hillegass, East Taylor Township; children, Stephanie M., wife of Michael Winkelman, East Conemaugh, Roy Jr., and his fiancée, Brenna Hess, East Conemaugh, Rita A., wife of Kevin Fournier, Jersey Shore, PA, Tiffany L, and her fiancé, Manny Nelson, Hornerstown, Ryan S., married to the former Samantha Pritt, East Taylor Township, Terry L. and his fiancée, Lexi Kauffman, East Taylor Township, and Joseph R. Hillegass, East Taylor Township; 18 grandchildren; sister, Darlene Lundgren, Hollsopple, PA; brothers, Jack Jr., married to the former Mary Noon, Shelby, NC, and Donald W. Sr., Jackson Township and numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed working with his hands and was always building something. Roy loved camping, fishing, having a cold one and especially hunting. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Keith H. Lohr officiating. Private inurnment will be at Richland Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be directed to his family in his memory.
