Hoffman, Rosemarie M., âRosieâ, 80, of Richland Township. Died Jan. 8, 2014, at Conemaugh Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born Dec. 28, 1933, in Windber. Daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Zidzik) Kovach. Also preceded in death by daughter, Wanda Marie Spiker. Survived by husband of 59 years, Elwood M. Hoffman; sons, Matthew (Nancy Yuhas), Cranberry Twp.; and Timothy (Beth Ann Zupan), Canton MI; grandchildren, Daniel and Stephen (Danielle) Spiker; Alex, Madison and Brandon Hoffman; and Lauren and Beaumont Hoffman; and great grandson, Owen Spiker. Sister of Joseph (Arlene Panetti) Kovach, Richland Township. Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. 1951 graduate of Windber High School. Co-owner of Breezy Acres Farm. Active member of Solomon Run Fire Co. Auxiliary and member of Richland Bâs Bowling Team. Rosemarie loved to plant flowers and took pride in maintaining a beautiful farmstead. She enjoyed hosting an annual Easter egg hunt for family and friends. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Friends received 2-8 PM Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where Vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at Richland Cemetery.
