Kudel, Rose, M. 91, of East Taylor Township, passed away on January 12, 2014 at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg, PA. Born on February 17, 1922 in Revloc, PA. Daughter of Joseph and Magdalene (Markovich) Rashlich. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James E.; granddaughter, Heather Hershel; brothers, Frank and Martin; sisters, Mary Fagan, Catherine Billy and Emma Rashlich and nephews, John and Joseph Rashlich and Charles âBuddyâ Fagan. She is survived by her loving children, Kevin J. married to the former Joanne Nagy, James E. married to the former Janice Urbanik, Brian Kudel all of East Taylor Township, Carol J. wife of Stephen Galayda, East Conemaugh, Emily A. wife of William Hershel, Lilly, Susan M. wife of George Kolesar, Hollsopple and Maria R. wife of David Jacobeen, Manassas, VA; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Eva wife of John Lazarich, Katy, TX and Dorothy L. Morsenko, Ebensburg, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was a 1939 graduate of Ebensburg/Cambria High School. She was a WW II Army Veteran serving in New Guinea during the Pacific Theater. After the war she earned a degree in Business from Cambria-Rowe Business College. Rose was employed at various automobile dealerships in the book keeping department. She was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, East Conemaugh. Rose was also a member of the Jackson Township Senior Center and the former Sacred Heart Ladies Guild. She enjoyed reading and working outside. Friends received from 2-7 P.M. on Tuesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, East Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Rev. Father Robert C. Hall. Committal will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 V.F.W. Ritual Team. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Church of the Transfiguration, 340 Second Street, Conemaugh, PA 15909 in memory of Rose.
