Rose C. Belsky

Belsky, Rose C., 96, of New York, NY, formerly of Johnstown, passed away on November 12, 2011 at Flushing Nursing Home, New York, NY. She was born on August 3, 1915, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Steve Margic and Slava (Vugrenic) Margic-Hadari. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Belsky; daughter, Mary L., “Mary Lou”; brother, Frank Margic and an infant sister, Anna Margic. She is survived by her loving son, Mike married to the former Mitzy Dizino, New York, NY; grandchildren, Deborah L. (Grata) wife of Daniel Kinney, Hampstead, NC, Ronald F. Grata married to the former Lynn Meyers, Vinco, Paul Grata (Janelle Weaver), St Petersburg, FL, Dawn Belsky, and Micheal Belsky, both of New York, NY; great-grandchildren, Emily wife of Elliott Wagner, Ronnie Grata and his girl friend, Jessica Wagner and D.J. Kinney; sisters, Mary Kovalcik, Anne Fabina , and Frances Moore; brother, Joe Hadari and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Rose retired from a long waitressing career. She attended the former Assumption of the BVM Catholic Church. Rose was a hard worker all her life. She was very loving, caring and giving and enjoyed her family and a simple life. Friends will be received from 9-10 A.M. on Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Rev Father Robert C. Hall. Private burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery.
