Schellhammer, Ronald W. “Sam”, 85, Cover Hill. Went to be with the Lord Sunday July 12, 2020, at home. Born January 12, 1935 in Johnstown, PA. Son of Karl & Erma (Mintmier) Schellhammer. Preceded in death by his parents; his beautiful, loving and devoted wife of 50 years Elizabeth (Manculich), who was his best friend; in-laws Mr. & Mrs. Charles Manculich, brother Carl and wife Ruth Schellhammer and nephew Tom Schellhammer. Survived by these children:  David W. married to JoAnn (Hillegas), Johnstown; Cynthia L., Johnstown; Ronald W. Jr. married to Patricia (Molchan), Raleigh, NC; Randy A. married to Lisa (Riek), Johnstown; and Shaun A. married to Gina (Wyrwas), Johnstown. Seven grandchildren: Joshua, Justine, Heather, Landon, Rachel, Luke and Ava.  Five great grandchildren: Aiden Schellhammer, Sage & Sawyer Miller and Aurora & Jasmine Waite. Member of SS Gregory & Barnabas Parish, lifetime and active member of Cover Hill Volunteer Fire Co. for 60 plus years.  Member of Cambria County Volunteer Firemen Association.  Ron loved hunting and especially loved camping and fishing with his wife, their children and grandchildren. At Christmas time he enjoyed setting up train displays. He was truly a family man who was always there for his family in time of need and who always enjoyed having his family around him.  Ron was a 1953 graduate of Johnstown Central Catholic High School which he enjoyed meeting with his former classmates for lunch at Hoss’s once a month.  Retired from Galliker Dairy Company with 20 years of service. Friends will be received at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane in Richland Township from 3 – 8 pm Thursday where Rosary will be held at 4 pm.  Funeral mass will be at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Daisytown at 10 am Friday.
