RUDGE- Ronald, E., 93, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2023 at McCullough Place. Born on Feb 21, 1930, in Johnstown, PA, he is the son of the late Edgar and Hazel (Leffler) Rudge. He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara (Arehart) Rudge in 1986 and second wife Bobbie (Dysert) Rudge in 2022. He also was preceded in death by his stepson, Barry Dysert. Ron is survived by his children, David Rudge and Linda (Mark) Harrison; granddaughter, Haley (Joseph) Harrison-Tremmel; step-son, Robert (Denise) Dysert; step-daughter-in-law, Cheryl Dysert; step-grandchildren, Bryan (Rachel) Dysert, Laura Beth (Brian) Botos, Mark (Katie) Dysert and Scott Dysert; step-great-grandchildren, Waverly Dysert, Gideon Dysert, Easton Botos and Clare Dysert. Ron was a 1948 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He served in the U.S. Navy where he became a pattern-maker. After his service, he was employed by U.S. Steel Corporation where he continued to advance his skills in the pattern shop. Ron founded Custom Woodwork Shop, Inc., which he owned and operated for over 50 years. As the owner of Custom Woodwork Shop, Inc., Ron built wood patterns for various foundries and designed trophies for many local organizations with his passion for woodworking and craftsmanship. As an avid outdoorsman, Ron found his greatest joy in casting his fly rod on the many trout streams throughout PA, the western states and the Catskills of New York. All services will be private to the family with burial held in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to McCullough Place, 500 Cheney Oak Dr., Johnstown, PA 15905 or to AseraCare Hospice, 100 CTC Dr., Suite 110, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Ronald E.
