Ronald J. Pavic

Pavic – Ronald J., 72, East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on January 30, 1945 in Johnstown, son of the late George and Helen (Skufca) Pavic. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathleen M. (Stiffler) Pavic; sons, Rick, married to the former Kim Baldwin, Johnstown; Vince, married to the former Becky Barron, Salisbury, MD; and Brian, Johnstown; grandson, Justin; siblings, Patricia Krzysko, Hanover, PA; Richard (Marilyn), East Taylor Township; Donald (Marianne), Myrtle Beach, SC; and Thomas (Pamula), Brownstown; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Ron was a 1964 graduate of Conemaugh High School. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Ron retired from East Conemaugh Borough after 42 years of service as Police Chief. He was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration; SGT. Michael Strank Post #5107 VFW; Turner Hall; Union Social Club; Croatian Hall, First Russian American Federation Club and Richland American Legion Post # 880. Ron enjoyed going to the beach with his wife and family. He was a local DJ, known as “Rat Patrol”. Ron also was an avid car enthusiast and greatly enjoyed his dog, “Bandit”. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Monday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Church of the Transfiguration. Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor.
