Partsch, Ronald C., Sr., 79, of Adams Township, passed away on December 24, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on November 29, 1936 in Johnstown. Son of Joseph and Stella (Eckenrod) Partsch. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann (Mintmier) Partsch; brother, James and infant brother, Lloyd; brothers-in-law, Edward “Sonny” Brandle; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane and Stanley Pakstis and brother-in-law, Clyde “Butch” Mintmier. He is survived by his loving children, Ronald C. Jr. married to the former Renay Lumley, Salix, Randy A., Adams Township, Susan L. Alexander, Monroeville and Richard L. married to the former Tammy Forster, Reading; grandchildren, Derek and Ashley Partsch, Taylor, Kendall and Samuel Alexander and MacKenzie and Grant Partsch; siblings, Marie Brandle, Bon Air, Marlene, wife of Dan Schofield, VA, Bernard, married to the former Carol Sinosky, New Germany, Evelyn, wife of Rudy Mrsnik, Richland Township, and Joseph, married to the former Diane Sliko, New Germany; sisters-in-law, Carole (Savering) Mintmier, Moxham and Mary Louise Partsch, Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was a graduate of Franklin High School. He retired, as General Manager, after 28 years of service from Harvey’s Supply Company. Ron was a member and Eucharistic Minister of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Church Council. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in the former St. Joseph’s Council. Ron enjoyed sports, particularly the Steelers. He loved spending time with his family, but especially loved his grandchildren coming to his house to swim. Ron’s family would like to thank the loving staff at Maple Winds Nursing Home for all the care they provided. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael, PA, Fr. Charles F. Bodziak, Pastor. Private entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Geistown. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Laurel Highlands Alzheimer’s Foundation, 538 Park Ave., Johnstown, PA 15902 in memory of Ronald.
