Ronald D. Hayes

Hayes – Ronald D., 83, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2023 at Windber Hospice. Born on July 31, 1939 in Johnstown, son of the late Charles W. Hayes and Mary Louise (Wachs) Hayes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Charles E. Hayes.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Roni (Ronald) McIntosh, Conemaugh Township, Cambria County, and Rudi (Robert) Hamer, Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Courtnee (John) Rodie, Tyler (Suzanne) McIntosh, and Staff Sgt. Brady Hamer; great granddaughters, Ivy, Scotlyn, Dylan, and Harlow; sisters, Judy (Kenneth) Fleegle, Lewistown, PA, and Nancy (John) Carrier, Johnstown, and many friends.

Ron graduated high school. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the 103^rd Armor 628^th Tank Battalion. Ron retired from Stonycreek Township after 43 years of service as a Road Foreman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Ron loved his family and will be missed by all that knew him.

At Ron’s request there will be no public viewing or service. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Inurnment will be at Richland Cemetery. His family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Dr Ext, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Ronald.
