GUYAN---Ronald J., 82, Conemaugh, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2021. Born November 27, 1938, in Johnstown, son of the late Andrew and Vera (Grove) Guyan. Preceded in death by, first wife, Sharon (Oshensky) Guyan, daughter-in-law, Kathy (Hartley) Guyan and second wife, Donna (Miller) Guyan. He is survived by his children Cynthia “Cindy” and husband John Rimoldi from Mississippi, Randy Guyan from Pittsburgh, Rich and wife Dana Guyan from Pittsburgh, Candace and husband William Oakes from Ohio, Steven and wife, Rosemary Martin from Ohio; and his grandchildren Christopher Guyan and fiancé Julia Martin, Anthony Rimoldi and wife Keeley, Nicholas Guyan and wife Amanda, Brandon Guyan and wife Leigh, Katie Guyan, Matthew Guyan, Cameron Guyan and Travis Williams. He is also survived by his siblings Andrew Guyan and wife Helen, Florida, Raymond Guyan and wife Gloria, Johnstown, Janet Biglin and husband Jim, Duncansville, Deb Harr and husband Rick, Johnstown; and he was a great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ron was retired from Bethlehem Steel where he worked as a computer programmer, a career that he truly enjoyed. Ron was a US Army National Guard veteran. He retired with the 28th Infantry Division of the Army National Guard where he served in the tank battalion and as a military police officer. He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and loved watching sports, especially Pittsburgh teams. He was active in the 28th Military Police Retired Association and previously served as treasurer of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a member. You would always see Ron wearing one of his many baseball caps from his extensive collection. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday July 16, 2021 at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, and again from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Saturday July 17, 2021, with Chaplain Emily Hill officiating. Committal at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with graveside military rites by Menoher VFW Post #137. Ron was an avid supporter of many charities, and in that spirit the family suggests in lieu of flowers that you make a memorial donation to the Conemaugh Volunteer Fire Co., 333 First St., East Conemaugh, PA 15909 or a charity of your choice. To honor Ron during the visitation, we encourage you to come wearing your favorite baseball cap! Please no Ravens caps!!
