Bukovec, Ronald Louis, “Johnny Cash”, 72, of East Conemaugh Borough, went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2015 at his home. Born on October 18, 1942 in Johnstown, son of the late Louis J. and Rose M. (Jedrzejek) Bukovec. He is survived by his sister, Louise married to Raymond Farabaugh of Aston, PA; niece, Barbara Farabaugh, Philadelphia, PA and nephews, Johnny and Bobby both of Aston, PA and many friends, including Special Friend, Lois Wiemer, Nanty Glo; Angel Friend, Flo Oleso, East Taylor Township and Lifelong Friend, Robert Stepien, East Taylor Township. Ronald graduated from Franklin High School. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Ronald attended the Church of the Transfiguration. He was also an active member of the Conemaugh-Franklin American Legion Post #633, the Fraternal Order of Eagles AERIE #1811; Sgt. Michael Strank V.F.W. Post #5107, and the East Conemaugh Volunteer Fire Club. Ronald was a kind natured man who will be missed by all that knew him. There will be no public viewing, however family and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service at 1 p.m. on Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, Fr. Robert Ruston, and the Conemaugh Valley Det. #287 Marine Corps. League, Ritual Team. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. His family suggests contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, (www.woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate) in memory of Ronald.
